Looked At My Watch And It Was 9:21, I Was At A Rock-n-Roll Dance Havin' Nothin' But FUN! We Were Reelin', Reelin' And A Rockin', Reelin' And A Rockin'.... Rollin' Til The Break Of Dawn! (Chuck Berry)
Alright fellow babies! Yeah, the weather sucks! Winter just won't let go! So much for global warming! If you're a skier/snow boarder you're lovin' it! But, regardless of your circumstances or situation, the place to be this Saturday evening is The Flamingo Ballroom 305 S. Main St. North Syracuse, N.Y. 13212! Hey baby, it's St. Patrick's Day, March 17th, and as is our custom, when the actual holiday falls on a Dance Divine day, we have a party! So, go to the parade in the afternoon, have somegreen beer if you're into that, and a ruben sandwich, go easy on the cabbage! But, when the evening rolls around, head over toThe Flamingo Ballroom! We'll be having a pizza party, with pizzas from The Pies Guys, and our very own Misty Murphy (you can't get any more Irish than that) will be baking us a St. Paddy's Day cake! Some folks have asked if they could bring something, and yes, you are certainly welcome to if you like, but it is by no means expected or required! Just come, Dance, eat, wear your green and have a great time!
There is an Open Lesson from 7:00-8:00 pm! This time the Lesson is in East Coast Swing (Jitterbug)! Followed by Open Dancing from 8:00-12:00 midnight! Cost is the same as always; $10.00 per person or $8.00 for High School and College Students (w/valid ID) and Active Duty Military Personnel!
All of the same great amenities that you have come to enjoy at The Flamingo Ballroom will be there! A clean, open, well kept 2000 sq.ft. Maple Hardwood Dance Floor! A comfortable, open, social seating area, off the Dance Floor! Beautiful, clean, well equipped bathrooms! The Flamingo Cafe featuring Poland Spring bottled water, Snapple Iced Tea, Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Ginger Ale, flavored sparkling water and an assortment of snacks! Free Coffee, Decaf, & Hot Tea and Bistro style seating! Free onsite parking for 20+ vehicles, (additional parking right next door at Dog Daze Bakery and across the street in North Syracuse Plaza)!
We have a very diverse crowd at Dance Divine, both in musical tastes and in styles of Dancing! We work very hard to make sure that all these various styles are accommodated! If you have music that you like to Dance to, please feel free to bring it along with you and I will do my best to make sure that it gets played! If you have a particular style of music that you would like played at Dance Divine, I now have a clipboard at the DJ stand! Write it down on the clipboard and I will try to get it!
Teresa and I thank you endlessly for all that you have given to Dance Divine! Your contributions have helped to shape the character of Dance Divine and will continue to do so for as long as it's around! Thanks to everyone and God bless! - Geno - All for the Love of Dancing
