Good,Good Morning to Everyone! Hope that you are all enjoying your weekend, looking forward to an adventure, or at least able to catch up on some things that you had to let go of during the week!

I want to give a heartfelt, exuberant Thank You to everyone who was able to attend the last Dance Divine!!! Once again you have blessed us beyond measure with your presence, your enthusiasm, and your support! We stand in humble gratitude!

I'm sending out this e-mail a little early because I want to invite you all to a very special Dance Divine! As some of you may already know, July 31st has been dubbed National Dance Day! In honor and celebration of this day, we are paying tribute to a man whose life has been lived in Dancing! Walt Medicis, who I affectionately call the Godfather of Ballroom Dancing will be our Guest of Honor for this evening of Dancing! The whole event will be a celebration and a recognition of his exceptional contributions, his amazing achievements and his unmatched history in the world of Partner Dancing! Our world! Walt's career spans 7 decades, going back to the middle 1940's! He has been teaching Dance for 65 years, and he's not done yet! Walt still teaches credit Ballroom Dance classes at S.U. in the Women's bldg. among other things! There are precious few people around here, who Dance partner style Dancing, that do not in some way have a connection to Walt! Those of you who know him know that you will not meet a finer gentleman in all the land! Walt has been a friend to all and a mentor to many (myself included)! Don't miss this opportunity to pay tribute to and celebrate with a true Legend! \

The celebration takes place from 8:00 pm - 12:00 midnight at the home of Dance Divine, The Moose Club 1121 Milton Ave. Solvay, N.Y. 13209. It is an Open Dance event, everyone is welcome! There is no lesson! The cost is $5.00/person. There will be snacks and munchies throughout the evening. We'll be having a cake for Walt and we'll be presenting him with a special plaque recognizing his contributions to Dancing in our little part of the world! There will be non stop Dancing throughout the evening except when we break for a few minutes to present Walt with the plaque and do the cake, somewhere around 9:30. Hope you all can make it! It could be one of the best Dance Divine's ever!
